Wow, such a pretty image. This is my new favorite blog. I just found you today and I love it. :)
Hi, Jillian, thanks for all your comments! I still have plenty more beautiful images to share, stay tuned. :)
just gorgeous - love the 1920's...i read about Clarrisa in the 'Mitford girls' book...
And isn't her wedding dress gorgeous? I hate the modern strapless ones.
I believe the caption is incorrect. This is not the wedding of Clarissa Eden née Spencer-Churchill and Sir Anthony Eden. Clarissa was 23 years junior to Sir Anthony and was his second wife - they married in 1952. Depicted here is, I believe, the wedding of Anthony Eden and his first wife, Beatrice née Beckett. They were married in 1923 and divorced in 1950.
Thanks for the heads-up. This book is chock full of inecuracies, it seems the publishers just couldn't be bothered to check anything. Some great photos, but very unreliable information! Thanks again.
