On the tv show Mad Men, the character Don Draper comes up with the "It's toasted" slogan for Lucky Strike, which is odd because the show is based in 1960 and this ad is from the 30s, so Mad Men must not be as historically acurate as I previously thought.

:D When you can't trust the historical accuracy of Mad Men, what can you trust? Nothing, I tell you!

Do you think lucky strikes was not still around in the 1960's? And when Draper came up with the idea for the Lucky Strike co. they had come to Sterling and Cooper to re-brand their image, because of the recant health risks that had been associated with cigarettes. hmmmmm?

Yeah, accept this ad already says "its toasted", which is the tagline Draper came up with in the 1960's, and they have it here in the 1930's. hmmmm.

Its a primetime soap. Mad Men was never meant to be historically accurate, as far as the advertising go's at least... now the wardrobe, smoking and drinking; I believe that.
