For some reason, I didn't think people could actually EAT crap-apples. This probably has something to do with the fact that, as a child, my sisters and I used to collect crap-apples that had fallen from the trees in our yard, and we would proceed to launch them at our neighbor's windows. They were purely weapons of mini-destruction in my mind. NOT edible. :)
Even so, that jelly just sounds yucky to me. The words "crab" and "jelly" just shouldn't be said in the same breath!
Yeah, the word combination sounds surreal to my Portuguese ears as well.
