Judging by these covers, ABC must have employed lots of talented illustrators. We've lost something by having magazines use mostly photographs - and not all of them that good.
"Something's lost and something's gained by living every day", like the song said. Some of the best art I see nowadays is in fashion photography, not in museums. But looking at these old mags is like taking a nice holiday from all that.
