She was great at posing for photos. She and George Hurrell created some of the loveliest images I've ever seen!

People like to insult Joan for her looks, but in the 1930s she was just about perfect.

I find in her later years Joan's look suffered from lack of taste (hideously unbecoming hair-dos, red hair + black eyebrows, etc). But she was always remarkably fit.
