It was all an act, I'm sure of it! In reality she was a pretty contented, well-adjusted person. She just decided the whole being lonely and sad thing was part of her allure.

This is pretty weird illustration. I don't know if it's the dress or the position of the text box but she looks a bit anatomically unreal. And Cladette is the liveliest version of a sleepy girl I've ever seen. Really interesting.
